Okay, so they're not exactly the swashbuckling type. But is there any reason that librarians can't become Internet entrepreneurs? "The whole New Economy is based on information, but information without access to it is no good," says Lynn Boyden, who recently quit as an administrator at the Information Studies Department at UCLA for a job at e-consul-tancy Arc. "What they teach you in library school is that you have to process raw data to get information, information to get knowledge, and knowledge to get wisdom."
