This work investigated the improvement of biodesulfurization (BDS) of bunker oil via different approaches, such as adding surfactant, adding solvent and using ultrasonic irradiation pre-treatment. The effectiveness of these approaches was evaluated and compared. Experiments were also carried out on separation of oil/aqueous phase after BDS by adding the HS-P01 (R). The results showed that after adding the surfactant, solvent or ultrasonic pretreatment, the BDS efficiency of bunker oil was improv
