Fluopicolide is a relatively new compound used in pest management of vegetable crops. This study was carried out to validate efficient analytical methods to analyze fluopicolide and its major metabolite 2,6-dichlorobenzamide in vegetables (cabbage, cauliflower, and cucumber) and soil by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The extraction and purification of fluopicolide residues and its metabolite was carried out by QuEChERS and ethyl acetate based extraction
