摘要

Energy from the desert is a report from the International Energy Agency's Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme on Task 8: 'Study of Very Large-Scale Photovolatic (VLS-PV) Power Generation Systems'. Task 8 was set up in 1999 and following earlier reports, this book is now a report of the full investigation and includes in-depth knowledge about how to implement systems in a desert, starting from the MW systems now being developed up to GW scale and beyond. It envisages large systems eventually forming part of a global power network.
