1 A team of researchers from the Munich University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and Umm AlQura University (Saudi Arabia) is investigating the capability of asphalt solar collectors (ASCs) to generate water from the atmosphere in water scarce regions. 2 The researchers have installed the ASCs in asphalt paved roads since the roads can be easily integrated in the infrastructure of modern cities.
