摘要

The 33th Linz Seminar on Fuzzy Set Theory in 2012 was devoted to the intimate relationship between enriched category and fuzzy set theory. The editors of this special issue intend to put together important papers presented at this seminar. But before we move to the peculiarities of these papers, let us begin with a brief sketch of the history of fuzzy set and enriched category theory.
