In den nächsten 10 Jahren werden in Europa rund 650 neue Bioabfallvergärungsanlagen (BVA) mit einer Leistung von circa 850 MW_(el) in Betrieb gehen. Der Hauptgrund für das Wachstum sind die Vorgaben der europäischen Energie- und Abfallgesetzgebungen. Über deren Umsetzung in den nationalen Gesetzgebungen bestimmen sie maßgeblich sowohl die Erlösstruktur also auch die verwertbaren Bioabfallmengen für BVA. Die meisten BVA werden in den vier bevölkerungsreichsten Staaten Europas errichtet: in Großbritannien, Frankreich, Deutschland und Italien. Die meisten Anlagenbauer für BVA stammen ebenfalls aus westeuropäischen Ländern. Diese Länder weisen zumeist ein fortschrittliches Abfallwirtschaftssystem auf und haben schon früh gute Förderbedingungen für Biogas eingeführt. Ein neuer Trend sind Kooperationen zwischen Anlagenherstellern der Biogaserzeugung und der Abfallverbrennung. Dies sind Ergebnisse einer neuen Studie von ecoprog zum europäischen Markt für BVA.%Within the next 10 years, around 650 new anaerobic digestion (AD) plants using biowaste as feedstock will be commissioned in Europe. They will have a capacity of circa 850 MW_(el). This growth is mainly caused by the specifications of the European energy and waste legislations. By implementing them through national laws, these specifications significantly determine both the structure of revenues and the biowaste amounts to be used in biowaste AD plants. Most of these facilities will be constructed in Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy, the four European states with the largest populations, and most of the plant manufacturers come from Western European countries as well. The majority of these states have an advanced waste management system and had introduced favourable subsidisation structures for bio-gas generation early on. Cooperations between manufacturers of biogas generation plants and waste incineration plants are a new trend. These are results of a new ecoprog study analysing the European market for biowaste AD plants.
