摘要

The knowledge of specific product information of waste from electric and electronic equipment enables recycling companies to gain a high quality and quantity of sorted fractions, components and assemblies.rnUnder the German ,,ElektroG", manufacturers are bound to provide required product information to the recycling companies. However, there is a lack of available product information. RFID can help to improve the transfer of required data from the manufacturer to the recycling firms. Furthermore, a RFID-tag can be added to an already existing optical label of electric and electronic equipment.rnIt is shown how intelligent tagging of mobile phones can help to transfer relevant data from the production phase into the disposal phase to support the collection and treatment of waste from electric and electronic equipment. The tagging can be at odds with data privacy that aims to protect the informational self-determination of natural persons. Therefore, it is of special importance to assess the confor-rnmity of such systems with data privacy law and to implement a legally compliant technology design.%Die Kenntnis produktspezifischer, entsorgungsrelevanter Informationen über Wert- und Schadstoffe in Elektro(nik)ge-r?ten bildet eine wesentliche Basis, um die Wertsch?pfung der enthaltenen Materialien in m?glichst hoher Quantit?t und sortenreiner Qualit?t zu gew?hrleisten. Das ElektroG sieht prinzipiell die Bereitstellung dafür ben?tigter Informationen durch den jeweiligen Hersteller vor, allerdings wird diese Vorgabe zurzeit unzureichend umgesetzt. Mit Hilfe der Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) kann die Informationsübermittlung vom Hersteller zum Recyclingunternehmen verbessert und die bereits bestehende optische Kennzeichnung von Elektro(nik)ger?ten um elektronisch verfügbare Informationen erg?nzt werden.rnAnhand des Beispielprodukts Mobiltelefon wird aufgezeigt, wie durch eine intelligente Produktkennzeichnung mittels RFID-Transpondern entsorgungsrelevante Informationen an die Entsorgungsunternehmen übermittelt und Erfas-sungs- sowie Behandlungsprozesse ma?geblich unterstützt werden k?nnen. Die elektronische Kennzeichnung kann aber mit dem Datenschutz in Konflikt stehen, dessen Ziel es ist, natürliche Personen vor Beeintr?chtigungen ihrer informationeilen Selbstbestimmung zu schützen. Daher ist eine datenschutzrechtliche Bewertung und rechtskonforme technische Ausgestaltung solcher Systeme von besonderer Bedeutung.
