Coating and lamination technology is a multifaceted subject and a unique area of expertise. It is a joint effort of polymer technicians, chemists and engineers specializing in applications, machines and production methods, all striving to improve machine quality and quantity. The greatest challenges in designing a coating and lamination line are adapting the finishing modules to existing machine concepts when in-line finishing is the goal. The application of auxiliary agents, e.g. following spunlaid production, requires line technology with production speeds up to 200 m/min or more. The prerequisites for this are high-speed production lines, chemicals with high shear strength and innovative drying technology.
