摘要

The type of physiotherapy used following conservative or operative stabilization of fractures depends on the treatment method. Operative fracture treatment allows early functional aftertreatment because there is no need of prolonged immobilisation. The earlier functional treatment can be started the better the chances of regaining normal function of the injured extremity. The well established techniques in physiotherapy like PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Fascilitati-onj as well as various devices and splints have led to an enrichment of the possibilities in the aftertreatment of fractures. Splints with or without electronic control for the rehabilitation of muscles, continuous passive motion (CPM) and numerous orthopedic devices offer a variety of options to avoid fracture diseases and dystrophy. In addition, the time for rehabilitation and recovery can be shortened markedly. With this demonstration of exemplaric trends in rehabilitation the modern physiotherapeutic and technical possibilities are pointed out with regard to different kinds of sports injuries. For reasons of clarity special techniques of physiotherapy are illustrated in a video tape.
