The GSDI Association's Geographic Information Knowledge Network (GIKNet) was established almost fouryears ago as a means of sharing information on SDI implementation lessons learned, best practices, source materials, assessments and follow-up surveys. It is a collaborative effort that relies on regular contributions of documents from the GSDI Association's member organisations and, in some cases, by the International Geospatial Society's individual members. Each community member acts responsibly and makes his or her own decisions on what and how much to contribute.
