In the race to outpace the competition with the next great innovative breakthrough, organizational leaders sometimes forget that the successful implementation of big ideas requires careful attention to small details. As John R. Schultz notes (page 6), getting past the dead-ends and disappointments that are bound to crop up along the way requires a collaborative environment that allows game-changing concepts to actually be put to work.
