U.S. EPA is seeking input on a new document describing the methods the agency may use to evaluate hazards posed by lead exposure during renovation, repair and painting activities. The agency document, called "Framework for Identifying and Evaluating Lead-Based Paint Hazards from Renovation, Repair and Painting Activities in Public and Commercial Buildings," is part of the agency's effort to determine whether the activities create a risk of lead exposure, which would prompt new regulations under the Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976.
