Australia's government is facing new accusations of misleading the United Nations after photographs released allegedly showed ecologically pristine areas were misrepresented as degraded forests. As much as 90 percent of about 180,000 acres of Tasmanian forests the government asked the United Nations to strip World Heritage protection from still meet the criteria for preservation, said Bob Brown, a former Green party leader.
