Technology company Trimble has added geotechnical solutions to its geospatial automated monitoring portfolio in collaboration with Internet of Things specialist Worldsensing. The collaboration has resulted in a solution that incorporates geotechnical and geospatial data for surveyors, geotechnical and structural engineers. It draws data from a variety of geotechnical and geospatial sensors, including tiltmeters, piezometers, crack gauges, satellite signal receivers and total stations. It combines this with wireless communication and software to create monitoring solutions. This can provide movement analysis to monitor transport infrastructure, buildings, structures, dams, mines, landslides and natural hazards.
