AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, announced that William V. Pipes of AMEC Geomatrix has been named president of the Groundwater Resources Association (GRA) of California. Formed in 1992, GRA is a statewide, not-for-profit organization of more than 1300 scientists, geologists, engineers, planners, educators, attorneys, hydrogeologists, and other professionals dedicated to the protection and improvement of groundwater in California. Pipes is a geologist and hydrogeologist with more than 30 years of experience who has managed the AMEC Geomatrix office in Fresno since 1991.
