The paper presents and explains the requirements for MEMS gyro shock tests. The main parameter of shock action is the product of the lowest natural frequency multiplied by the shock duration. It is shown that with a large product, the quasistatic load model can be used in calculations and the shock duration can be reduced while maintaining the peak values, which makes the test requirements less stringent.
