The field equations of Galilei (G) invariant electrodynamics (ED) and quantum mechanics (QM) are derived and discussed with regard to aether effects. The orthodox Lorentz (L) covariant ED (Maxwell) and QM (Dirac) are shown (i) to hold in the cosmic aether rest frame S° (identified by its isotropic 2.7K microwave background) and (ii) to follow in the limit w→0 (which exists in S°) from the G-invariant ED and QM for arbitrary inertial frames (IF) 5(w) relative to the cosmic rest frame S° (u=-w=velocity of S relative to S°, w=aether velocity in S). The G-invariant (i) Schroedinger wave equation and (ii) the hydrodynamic equations of QM, in electromagnetic potentials, are derived and discussed for arbitrary IFs S(w) with aether flow, too. Material systems are shown to physically interact with the aether when they move relative to the aether (S°) with a velocity v°=v-w=v'-w' = ...,≠0 = G-inv (or with a velocity v=w in S, v'=w' in S',...). The most important G-invariants are given and illustrated in applications. By means of the hydro-dynamic equations of QM it is shown that H-like atoms exist in which the electrons are in nonrotating (nonradiating) static states. The numerous paradoxes and contradictions of L-covariant theory relative to the observers in IFs S ≠ S° are shown not to exist in G-invariant physics relative to S°. Several references are given in which all crucial experiments are explained by means of G-invariant ED. This research is of particular significance for experimenters interested in measuring aether effects in ED and QM.
