摘要

A plan to calculate the speed of starlight from the guide star HR8703 with the GP-B Data is proposed in this paper so as to test the most important foundation of Einstein's relativity, the invariable principle of light speed. This plan directly measures the speed of the starlight from quasar HR8703 (IM Pegasi) with the aberration of HR8703 in GP-B, to see if the speed of light is independent to the speed of GP-B. This experiment overcomes the shortcomings of all other experiments on the earth for testing the speed of light with a close light-path in which the anisotropy of speed of light was eliminated. It takes full advantage of the GP-B's equipments and technology to directly test the speed of one-way light ray from quasars with high precision, this makes the GP-B to be the most important, also the best experiment for testing the speed of light.
