摘要

Michelson was mistaken when he chose the energy velocity of light instead of the phase velocity that is required to predict the interference pattern observed. When the correct phase, velocity is chosen, a correct analysis shows that the classical Doppler effect yields the observed null result. Sound, obeying the same classical wave theory as light, also yields a Michelson-Morley mill result that is in agreement with Feist's recent experiments. Thus, the Michelson-Morley experiment does not demonstrate the isotropy of the speed of light nor support "special relativity".
