I dreamed of weaving a black eyelash evening jacket with metallic sparkles peeking through the eyelashes to wear with a long taffeta skirt. An exciting surprise is the discovery of an eyelash draft (see Resources) that requires only three shafts! If you have sixteen shafts, however, you can weave both the jacket and the blouse fabrics on the same warp, without having to rethread the loom. Instructions here are for the jacket on three shafts―you can visit interweave.com for the 16-shaft blouse and jacket draft and for drafts on four and eight shafts for the blouse fabric.
