摘要

Multicore SoCs (system on chip), which integrate two or more processors and various computer hardware and software components on a single chip, are getting more capable. Not only is the number of processor cores rising well above two, to as many as 16, with multiple GPUs and other accelerators, but each of the CPU cores is providing greater performance. By taking on some of the work of the computer, special purpose accelerators such as GPUs, deep neural networks, DSPs and image signal processors enhance the computer’s performance.
