摘要

As the title implies, the book is on thermal measurements and inverse techniques. The main theme of the book is an elaborate and self-sufficient coverage of inverse techniques in thermal science. The book is primarily a reference book on the subject;however, it may be used as a textbook or as a source of further reading in a special-topic course in thermal modeling and inverse techniques. The topics covered may also be of interest to graduate students, researchers, and practicing engineers. The subject has been presented in a clear mathematical language. The readers of the book, however, need to be familiar with applied mathematics in certain chapters if they are to fully benefit from the book.
