As the range of smart controls available on the market increases, so does the breadth of knowledge required by the installer as to what they are capable of and which is the most appropriate product for their customer. While traditional, mechanical thermostats may not offer the functionality of wi-fi-enabled controls with apps and backlit, touchscreen displays, they are less complicated for some users to get their heads around. Using a simple single stage system with two wires, they also have the added advantage for the installer of not taking very long to install or replace.
