1.Bell Helicopter has signed a new contract with its lapanese partner, Mitsui Bussan Aerospace, which has ordered three Bell 212 and four Bell 429 helicopters for civil customers in Japan.rnThe deal sees confirmed orders for the Model 429 increase to 22 aircraft. That compares to the 300 letters of intent held by the company 12 months ago and recent claims that 25 machines would be delivered this year. Bell blames the recession and regulatory delays in certifying specific kits for the aircraft, but payload issues and an increase in the base price of around $1 million have also had an impact.
