摘要

An effiecent cell suspension culture system has been initiated using callus obtained from mature seeds of the Chinese Japonica variety Eryi 105 as a source. Over the last 12 months, using the "Nottingham Method", protoplasts have been produced from these cell suspensions , and via the PEG method of transformation. 45 regenerated plants were obtained from DNA-treated protoplasts selected by 80μg/ml G418. The research of molecular analysis on those plantlets is being carried on by Plant Genetic Manipulation Group, Department of Life Science, University of Nottingham, U. K.
