摘要

A fuel cell with porous Pt/C electrodes is used to study O_2/CO_2 reaction in Cs_2CO_3 elec- trolyte and a Hg/HgO reference electrode is used to measure anodic and cathodic polarization during electrolysis. Steady-state polarization curves are obtained at 290--308K with various CO_2/O_2 mixtures. Kinetic analysis in the linear overpotential region indicates that (alogj_o/ alogP) is 0.02 for CO_2 and 0.24 for O_2. The reaction orders are 1/4. in CO_2 and 3/8 in O_2 in the cathodic direction, and -3/4 in CO_2 and -1/8 in O_2 in the anodic direction.
