Membrane filtration systems have been applied to sea water deslination, ultra pure water systems, and the food industry. Recently they have also been used for waste water treatment systems. But municipal refuse incineration plant waste water systems have not been development yet because there are various qualities of waste water and there is the fear that membrane filters would become clogged.
