Many of the animals that graced Bingley Hall at the National Holstein Show in April returned to the same arena for the popular Stafford County Show. With the excellent facilities at this show, both in the cattle lines and the judging rings, it is very popular with exhibitors and public alike. This year saw Ken Proctor of the Airfield herd in Norfolk officiating with some excellent classes of cows forward. With his usual precise reasons given in cowman's language, he kept the busy ringside's attention throughout the morning's judging. Starting with an excellent class of maiden heifers, our judge found his winner from the Barlow's with yet another from the Kimo line.This family thought by many to be one of the very best in the UK seems to keep producing winners every year. Judge Proctor placed Painley Journalist Kimo 80 first, explaining she was the most stylish heifer in the class and praised her for her strong front end and her superb locomotion. Both second and third came from the Whittaker family with Knowlesmere S Man Steph getting the advantage for her power and stretch over Knowlesmere Jordan Donate, praised by our judge for her balance and locomotion. Mr Proctor praised all the entries in this very good class of young heifers.
