A company developing an explosives sampling system promising hands-free swabbing has been awarded a contract from the Department of Homeland Security to develop a new product to integrate into its current explo- sives detection units. Implant Sciences Corporation received a $100,000 Small Business Innovation Research award from DHS on Feb. 7 to continue development of its patented vortex collection technology.
