The Spirit of an art dealer's home" was the inspiration for Le Cinq Codet, the latest project by French architect and interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel. A 5-Star hotel with an adjoining restaurant, bar, roof terrace, and spa, Nuel sought to capture the "artistic history" of the property's location in Paris' culturally vibrant 7th arrondissement, close to the Rodin Museum and Les Invalides. Nuel also drew on the original 1930s building, the former headquarters of France Telecom, which was built in the typical industrial style of the decade. "The facade was very interesting architecturally," he says, pointing to the curvaceous walls and double bay windows that stretch the length of the exterior as special features.
