More than 1,000 culinary professionals from around the world met in Luxembourg last November for the Villeroy & Boch Culinary World Cup at the Expogast trade fair. The trophy went to the team from Singapore, while Sweden and the U.S. also secured top spots. Together with His Royal Highness Grand Duke Guillaume von Luxembourg, Nicolas Luc Villeroy, board member for tableware of Villeroy & Boch AG, awarded the prizes to the winners. This year, dishes were presented on 29-centimeter dinner plates from the Villeroy & Boch hotel series "Affinity." Held since 1972, the Culinary World Cup is organized by Vatel Club Luxembourg, a professional chefs' association. The hotel and restaurant division of Villeroy & Boch has been closely connected to the event as a supporting partner.
