All 238 guestrooms at the Sof itel So Bangkok, scheduled to open by early 2012, will have a Mac mini-computer, LCD TV and Office software. Guests in suites will have complimentary use of an Apple iPad. Each Mac will give guests access to digital TV and radio channels, movies and music libraries, DVD and CD players, as well as the ability to connect via a personal iPod, iPhone and iPad. For work purposes, the Mac mini enables guests to load files via a USB port and save them to a memory stick. Every time the Mac mini shuts down, software deletes any new information on the computer. Other applications include browsing the hotel directory and the in-room service menu, as well as a webcam that scans the Bangkok skyline.
