Bridge Capital, Johannesburg, is selling a 300-suite hotel in Fortaleza, Brazil. The hotel has more than 650 ft. (183 m) of beach and a modern marina. Bridge Capital is also working on opportunities much nearer to home, in Zimbabwe.rnJeff Klein burst onto the hotel scene when he bought what is now the City Club, New York City, in 1999. During his youth, he stayed in such fine hotels as The Savoy, London, and later worked with Gotham Group. Working with Peter Krulewitch, he has converted Los Angeles' frequently renamed Sunset Boulevard icon into what is now Sunset Tower. Klein is now compiling a US$100 million fund to look for hotel opportunities in Palm Springs, Miami and London. Is The Savoy in his sights?rnEveryone wants to get into London. It is a priority for Kempinski Hotels, says Geneva-based COO Duncan O'Rourke. Yes, Kempinski was briefly there with two properties, but O'Rourke wants a return with one solid, iconic hotel. He also wants Barcelona, Milan, Paris and Rome.
