Even in this sluggish economy, hotels are opening, including the latest from Kor Hotel Group-the Viceroy Miami from power couple Brad Korzen, the founder of the group, and Kelly Wearstler, a trendsetting interior designer. A 28,000-square-foot Spa at Icon Brickell serves as an urban destination, complete with a fitness center. The spa is staffed by beauty experts and serves as a library of information with innovative spa treatments and products, featuring beauty lines such as Arcona and Valmont. Guests also can access the exclusive 15th-floor outdoor podium's sweeping recreation area that includes a lounge with deck space, a sun deck with cabanas, a 310-ft. (94-rn) infinity pool overlooking the bay and Fifty, the upscale rooftop lounge restaurant right next to the pool on the 50th floor.
