Its Historic Area preserves the colonial capital of Virginia, where George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry and others inspired a new nation. More recently, Alto-Shaam has become our equipment of choice when cooking for royalty, presidents and heads of state who visit this national treasure.rn"Since the Williamsburg Inn and Williamsburg Lodge opened in the late 1930s, our hotels have hosted world leaders and celebrities too numerous to count. Our high-end cuisine has always been contemporary American with a regional Southern flair.
