Hotels at New York City's Times Square have long done well with their location, but one property in particular is now looking to leverage its location at perhaps its most valuable time during the year: New Year's Eve. The Renaissance New York Hotel Times Square last month put its entire third-floor restaurant space on New Year's Eve up for auction on eBay. The minimum bid was set at US$150,000, and the hotel has pledged to donate 25% of a winning bid to the Amazona Sustainable Foundation to help protect the Brazilian rainforest.
