Simon Cooper has the qualities of a natural leader. He is some-what self-effacing, certainly humble yet strong, and a team player who takes more satisfaction in seeing the people around him excel. While a strategist as president and COO of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co., he is admittedly a "bothersome" leader. It is his bothersome style, he says, that pushes him to tend to the details that help the greater goals of the organization be met, because at the end of day, Cooper considers himself simply a steward of the brand and says his goal is to leave the company in a stronger position than he found it. Shall we add modesty to his list of leadership qualities?
