Local needs required a rapid response system to undertake bathymetric surveys for dredging purposes to provide sufficient depth of water for safe navigation after storm events. An investigation resulted in the development and provision of a Data logging and processing system for three small ports which can be Readily installed on small survey craft, transferred to dredge tenders And be successfully operated by previously inexperienced staff.
