The greenhouse gases, concentrated in the atmosphere of our planet, should cause a global rise of Relative Sea Level (RSL) and a rise of the RSL along the Belgian coast in particular. Long term records of continuous tidal observations, collected From 3 tide gauges, allowed the Coastal Hydrographic Service in Oostende, Belgium, to use various practical methods in order to Study this phenomenon in more detail.
