摘要

In this article we mean by small water body ponds, water bodies, daily regulating basins, pools, excavations, and storages with a volume of not more than 1 million m~3. In cross-sectional shape their beds represent a trapezoid or semiellipse. When constructing an earth seal on a small water body it is suggested to calculate water losses in the case of steady free seepage in the following way. In the case of a trapezoidal shape of the bed (Fig. l) the unit discharge is equal to [1] formula (ell) where K_s is the average permeability coefficient of the seal; b is the bottom width of the small water body; δ is the thickness of the seal; m' is the steepness of the slope; δ_0 is the average thickness of the seal on the slope; H_0 is the depth of the water.
