The article contains generalizing data of computational investigations carried out for a number of years at the B. E. Vedeneev All-Russian Hydraulic Engineering Research Institute (VNIIG) with respect to substantiate stable fixed offshore platforms (IFOPs) on the arctic shelf. The purpose of the investigations was to substantiate the optimal design variant of the foundation part of the platform. Traditional engineering methods were used at preliminary stages of substantiation, and numerical calculation methods, making it possible to take into account the nonlinearity of deformation of the seabed soils of the IFOPs, were used in the final stages for estimating the stability and stress-strain state (SSS) of the foundation-seabed system.
