摘要

The problem of estimating local scour downstream of hydraulic structures has long attracted the attention of researchers and attempts to solve it are known from the 1930s. A large part of the studies was carried out as applied to a scheme with deflecting the nappe away from the structure. For the case of a bottom flow regime on the apron, studies of local scour and an estimation of the maximum depth of scour were made by D. I. Kumin, I. I. Levi, B. I. Studenichnikov, M. S. Vyzgo, K. S. Pova, N. V. Lebedev, A. S. Inozermtsev, L. L. Paalem, K. I. Rossinskii, et al. [1-7].
