Investigations carried out with the direct participation of the author during engineering-geologic surveys along the route of the main water conduit and objects of water-management and reclamation construction encompassed a number of transriverine settlements: Megino-Kangalas, Ust'-Aldan, Namtsy, Churapcha, Tatga, and Amga (Fig. l). The region is located within the eastern part of the Central Yakutsk lowland characterized by a plains relief with a Shallowly incised drainage system.
