In this paper, Floquet's theory for solving differential equations with periodically varying coefficients has been utilized in evaluating the steady state performance of a three phase wound rotor series-connected self-excited synchronous generator SCSESG. This type of generator is practically realized By the series connection of stator and rotor windings of A conventional wound-rotor induction machine. Self Excitation may occur when a suitable capacitor bank is Connected across the machine terminals.
