This paper presents a new approximate method for analyzingnreflective SAW transducers, with much of the convenience of thencoupled-mode (COM) method but with better accuracy. Transductionnaccuracy is obtained by incorporating the accurate electrostaticnsolution, giving for example correct harmonics, and allowance fornelectrode width variation, in a simple manner. Results are shown for ansingle-electrode transducer, Natural SPUDT and DART SPUDT, each usingntheoretically derived parameters. In contrast to the COM, the RAM canngive accurate results for short or withdrawal-weighted transducers andnfor wide analysis bandwidth
