Inthispaper,wepresentanewrobustwatermarkingschemebasedondiscretecosinetransform(DCT),singularvaluedecomposition(SVD)andarnoldscrambling.BothDCTandSVDhavebeenverypopularindigitalwatermarkingtechnology.Butinouralgorithmwecombinethesetwomathematicalmethodstocomposeanewrobustmethodfortheimagewatermarkingtechnology.FirstweuseDCTtothehostimageandmaptheDCTcoefficientsinazig-zagorderintofourquadrants.Thesefourquadrantsrepresentthefrequencyfeatureofthehostimagefromlowesttohighest.Inordertoimprovethesecurityoftheschemewefirstusearnoldscramblingtowatermarkingimage.ThenembedthewatermarkingdatabymodifyingthesingularvaluesofeachquadrantwithDCTtransformedwatermarkingimage.Theexperimentalresultsshowthatthisalgorithmisrobusttoawiderangeofattacksandhasbettersecurityperformance.
