You're an accomplished, commercial/instrument pilot, but even with years of trouble-free flying behind you, are you really getting the most from your IFR flying? Perhaps it's time to ratchet up the skill level a notch by going for the ATP- Airline Transport Pilot license, or what some call the doctorate of pilot skills. First a humility check: There are few of us who haven't goofed on more than one flight. Fortunately, most of these clunkers don't often result in an accident or a reported violation- emphasis on reported. With experience comes confidence but in its wake comes the risk of complacency. Without an active training program to regularly challenge your instrument skills, lazy habits sneak in so insidiously that you may not be aware of how much your flying skills have deteriorated.
