You may recall a subscriber survey a couple of months ago about Jepp and NACO use. As much as we like to complain, Jeppesen must be doing something right. In the early 90s, the readership survey indicated about half and half government v. Jepp. Four years later, the commercial offering claimed 61 percent of the responding readership. Among this year's group, fully three quarters said they used Jepp instead of NACO and nine out of ten of those indicated warm fuzzies about Jepp in general. The trend is instructive but one of the main inquiries was buried in the more general chaff. Specifically, we wondered what percentage of Jepp subscribers actually ran the annual checklist to confirm the accuracy of their binder contents.
