摘要

Economic success today depends increasingly on intangible, information based assets, such as the creativity of employees and the knowledge gained from research. Nowadays many companies are also well aware of the value of intellectual property, especially inventions and patents. The ownership and control of patentable inventions are crucial to the success of any business and, in order to maximise the value of intellectual property assets, it is necessary to maintain and effectively manage all associated ownership rights as well.
